In the heart of a child

Little man's fascination with death continues. He brought up our dog Scooby who died when he was two years old. Then he brought up his "Poppie", DH's dad who died a couple of years ago. He said he missed Poppie and I told him I did too, but he lives on in his heart.

He thought about that for a moment and said "Does Michael Jackson live in my heart?"

Adorable! Micheal Jackson lives in his heart too!
Our dog died one year ago. She was 14
Whenever we talked about her my son says the same thing. Points his heart and says 'she is living here, never forget her'
Thanks for following and your comment:)I'm following your lovely blog now.
Do you have a recipe of beer buscuits?
I would love to try it :)

Thanks guys! Yonca, that is so sweet that your DS says that. too! Thanks a bunch for following.

I don't have my mother's recipe anymore, but I lifted "Bubba's Biscuit recipe from the food network and imagine it is probably pretty similar. It just had such a good flavor!

Beer biscuits:
4 cups biscuit mix (recommended: Bisquick)
1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
1 (12-ounce) can of beer
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix all ingredients well, adjusting the sugar according to how sweet a biscuit you prefer. Pour into well-greased muffin tins. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with honey butter.
