Master plan

Happy to say that I have just finished mastering my CD that goes with my soon-to-be-released book, A Journey To The Son. The four years my producer/co-writer Don Henry and I have been working on this is coming to fruition! Now it is on to getting it reproduced and sending out advance listener copies.

I am also very excited to have heard from another AFE survivor who is starting an amniotic fluid embolism foundation (www.afesupport.org, launching in September). She and some doctors are discussing some exciting, ground-breaking studies and I hope to be able to support the foundation as much as I can! Wouldn't it be wonderful if more were known about prevention and or cures for this devestating complication?!

i suffered an AFE nearly three years ago. i joined a support group through yahoo ( i believe) after i came home from the hospital, but it was not very beneficial for me. i'd love to find other women who have survived this also... apparently there aren't very many of us.

Thanks Momma Such- will be fun to keep up with your blog,
Murray, I am so sorry you went through an AFE as well. It is beying frightening and something that you really need support to get a grasp on.
The founder of the AFE org. I was referring too also has a support group on facebook. I will try to post the link here soon. Please write anytime you want to vent or compare notes. Us survivors share a bond. hugs to you for what you went through and glad you are here!

WE survivors rather! They are trying to put together a survivor study, by the way. It is such an exclusive group now that they only have 35 participants. If you would like to be involved, please visit www.afesupport.org and let Miranda know I sent you! All the best!
