Little Man has started referring to the dark ages of the 1970's (and then 80's) when Mommy and Daddy were growing up as "the old days". The line of questioning got amusing. Did you have a car in the old days?", "You have a house in the old days?" Yes, hunnie, we had those things. But ... NO DVDS and NO COMPUTERS! How did we ever survive???

Lauren,Tia my 7 year old grandaughter announced to me the other night the she knows the truth about Santa.......she said " he is dead Granma", "he has to be dead because I saw a picutre of you with him when you were a little girl and he was really old back in the old days when you were a child so he can't still be here, not now."
She made me feel ANCIENT!
Lauren your post also reminded me of when I was a little girl looking at black and white family photos with my grandmother, I now know how it must have made her feel when I asked her when the world turned color.
I actually believed she once lived in a world that was black and white.....
Technology really puts a spot light on generational age differences.
I recently explained phone booths to my daughter. "Progress" really strikes me in those moments when I think about things that were commonplace in my youth that don't even exist anymore.
Betsy I remember having that thought, too!
Yup, flour girl ;), it is interesting to think of where technology will go!
Joey, I explained phone booths in that converstaion, too. So weird to think they are pretty much obsolete!
My niece just told me that I was probably older than dirt. Nothing was around when I was a child. LOL
